The Bookshop
In this extremely remote and isolated area the 'Sower' Christian Bookshop has a unique ministry:
- Ministry of support to the Torres Strait Islands & Southern New Guinea.
- Supplying Bibles, Christian videos, CDs, DVDs, Christian books and resources
- A place for people to drop in and talk about Christian things
- A resource for Christian pastors and leaders to be able to purchase or order books and Bibles
The Bookshop has Outreach to:
- Torres Strait Islanders who come to T.I. on special occasions or for business
- People from the mainland/Cape York who come to T.I. on the ferry for supplies
- Tourists from all over the world
- Local people on Thursday Island
- People searching for answers to the meaning of life who come to the remote area to 'get away' for a time
