Caring for communities - God's unconditional love in action.

Care, a leading not-for-profit provider of residential and community services in Queensland, provides essential services to more than 30,000 people in need each year. As not all of our programs receive government funding, we increasingly seek innovative ways to raise funds so people with limited financial resources can access our diverse range of essential services.

Initially established in 1930 to provide food and clothing for people affected by the Great Depression and to oppose drug and alcohol abuse, today Care owns and operates 133 services in urban, rural and remote Queensland, supported by approximately 2000 staff, and a network of more than 400 dedicated volunteers.

Care is an agency of Churches of Christ in Queensland - a group of churches which are part of the worldwide Christian church. Care strives to create an inclusive, caring, compassionate environment which meets its clients' needs without discrimination or prejudice. Everyone is welcome to call on our help, regardless of their religious background.
